Liverpool – Liverpool failed to win for Steven Gerrard in his last appearance at Anfield. Entertaining Crystal Palace, Liverpool actually defeated 1-3.
In the match at Anfield on Saturday (16/05/2015) night local time, Liverpool were able to ahead in the 26th minute goal by Adam Lallana. But Palace then reply in the 43rd minute through a free kick Jason Puncheon to make the score 1-1.
In the second half, Palace added two more goals. Wilfried Zaha and Glenn Murray scored for the visitors to give Liverpool 1-3 defeat.
Game against Palace was the last appearance Gerrard at Anfield. As already known, Gerrard will move to LA Galaxy after the season ended.
With this defeat, Liverpool was moved from fifth place with 62 points from 37 matches. The Reds chance to qualify for the Champions League was certainly already closed. With one match remaining, Liverpool is not possible pursuit of the scoring Manchester United is in fourth place with 68 points. Meanwhile Palace sits in 12th with 45 points.
