Manchester – Wilfried Bony claimed join Manchester City because of inducements from Yaya Toure. Bony now hopes to persuade rotation Toure to stay afloat in the City.
Toure was widely rumored to be leaving City this summer. His agent, Dimitri Seluk, calling Ivory Coast midfielder was 90 percent will leave from Etihad Stadium.
Toure will reportedly move to Italian club, Inter Milan. Inter, who are now coached by former City manager Roberto Mancini, it is very desperate to bring in Toure.
But, Bony hope Toure remain in the City. According to him, Toure has become a legend for the Citizens.
“I talked to him about it all the time. He knows what I think. He brought me here, so he had to endure,” said Bony, who recruited City from Swansea City in January.
“He told me about how the club has become a big club, a matter of how we become champions,” he added.
“He said that this is a club that always fights – and I am a fighter so I liked it. He said about the pressure, everything,” said Bony.
“Of course everyone wants him to stay. He was a legend for the club. He will always be a legend. We expect him to survive, he is a big player here and we know all that he did for the club,” he said in Sky Sports.
