Cagliari – Duo Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi and Lukas Podolski, opposite to each other in terms of sharpness. Nerazzurri coach, Roberto Mancini, had no comment for the two players.
Was on fire this season, Icardi show sharpness again when the goal to bring Inter won 2-1 at home to Cagliari on Tuesday (24/02/2015) pm dawn. Since the turn of the year, Icardi make seven goals from 10 appearances in all competitions.
Lodging in Serie A, six recent tally make Icardi now aligned with Carlos Tevez at the top of the list of top scorer with 14 goals. Inter had successfully brought wins in the last three games and was sixth in the standings with 35 points, four points ahead of Fiorentina in fifth position which is the last spot Europa League zone.
Obviously Mancini is expecting Icardi sharpness will continue until the end of the season in order to fulfill the mission of the team trophy Europa League and Champions League qualification. Icardi had to make a total of 19 goals this season.
“Icardi played very good and outstanding, regardless of his goal as well, hold the ball up well and help colleagues as well. He should play like that,” Mancini said on Football Italia.
Other Icardi, others also Podolski who still have trouble finding the best performance from Arsenal on loan last January. Up to eight games he played in all competitions, yet none of the players from the German goal made it.
In the match against Cagliari, Podolski throw several occasions to make goals. Although still barren, Mancini believes Podolski will soon complete the goal of fasting.
“I believe the time will come when Podolski to score important goals. Of the three opportunities that come in the first round, he can usually make at least one goal. He was unlucky today, but it will be passed,” said Mancini.
