LONDON – Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho claimed almost able to bring Angel di Maria and Radamel Falcao in the transfer market last summer. However, it nevertheless occur because of the fear of violating the rules of the Blues Financial Fair Play (FFP) for the salaries of the players are too high.
In the summer transfer window, the name Di Maria and Falcao is faster linked will join Chelsea. Moreover, Mourinho is already familiar with both players while still gush Real Madrid some time ago.
However, in reality both Di Maria and Falcao instead joined Chelsea in the Premier League rivals, namely Manchester United. Di Maria brought United’s management with a dowry of 60 million pounds, while Falcao borrowed from the US Manaco.

“Jorge (Mendes) told me that Di Maria and Falcao are the players, then he must find a solution for their future,” said Mourinho, as quoted by The Guardian, Wednesday (21/01/2015).
“But, if Chelsea can not afford to pay eight, nine, or 10 million euros per season, because of the rules (financial) fair play, obviously Mendes have to think about the players,” said the former coach of Inter Milan.
“We can not bring Falcao or Di Maria because I did not want to. I can not afford to have a player who has a salary of 10 million, while others only get three, four, or five. It can be dangerous condition in the dressing room, “he concluded.
