Milan – Michael Essien feels Filippo Inzaghi had a similar style of training with Real Madrid tactician Carlo Ancelotti. Together Inzaghi, AC Milan target Essien top three finish in Serie A.
Inzaghi Milan was appointed as allenatore start earlier this season, replacing Clarence Seedorf who was fired late last season. So far the results are fairly decent okay, Milan won three of six matches in Serie A, while only lost one time.
The Rossoneri were temporarily perched in the top five of the standings with 11 points, seven points behind Juventus in the top position.
Essien admitted Inzaghi comfortable with the coaching style. Ghana international midfielder was recalled to figure Ancelotti at Chelsea ever trained for two years in 2009-2011.
“I really like Inzaghi as a coach. He gives us the freedom to play and express themselves on the pitch.’s Why we give our best effort,” said Essien told Sky Sport Italia.
“I’ve trained a lot of coaches in my career and reminds me a little Inzaghi with Ancelotti, who coached me at Chelsea. He also gives us the freedom of expression on the pitch and that’s what Pippo. I think it is the right way to do things,” he added .
The pace was okay throughout the early season optimism makes Milan also covered to return to the Champions League after this season must have missed it.
“Last season was a difficult situation for us, but now things are different and various things in better condition. We need to put Milan into the top flight. Our target is to finish in the top three and we will strive to achieve it,” said Essien as reported by Football Italia.
