London – North London derby draw leave the worries for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. The Gunners are not able to score a goal of so many opportunities that come from a set piece situation.
Arsenal could not even score a goal from a corner this season. In the 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, ‘Gunner’ has 15 corners but none could be converted.
“It is a concern,” said Wenger on the club’s official website. “We have plenty of room to rise again and we must do it as soon as possible.”
“If you play against any team and the opponent had 15 corner kick opportunities then obviously you will be conceded because it is usually difficult to survive in such a situation.”
“I have a lot of talented players in the squad but Tottenham are a team with a lot of tall players. Players like Jan Vertonghen and Younes Kaboul are very high and they defended very well.”
Improvements in set piece situation must be corrected by Arsenal. Because, Per Mertesacker et al. will face Galatasaray in the Champions League in the middle of this week and they have not won the game bent over Borussia Dortmund 0-2 in the first game.
