Liverpool – Kolo Toure is not the primary choice in the Liverpool defense. However, Toure remain patient and confident manager Brendan Rodgers will give him a chance.
Since joining from Manchester City last year, Toure spent much time on the bench. Ivory Coast defender was only performed in 24 games with the Reds last season.
Toure is actually in demand by several clubs in the transfer market this summer. Liverpool even rumored to have agreed to sell to Trabzonspor for 1.6 million pounds. However, because Toure did not want to move to the Turkish club, the transfer did not materialize.
With a stay in Liverpool, Toure must be willing to be a backup player. In the first three Premier League games this season, Rodgers lowering Martin Skrtel, Dejan Lovren, and Mamadou Sakho, while Toure was moved from the bench.
This condition does not make a give Toure. The 33-year-old confident will get the chance to play.
“There are so many games in four competitions this season and manager need depth,” said Toure was quoted Liverpool Echo.
“I’m sure all the players will have the opportunity at any time,” he added.
“The most important thing for me is what is best for the team.’s Not about individuals,” said Toure.
“I was part of a big project here and I will do my best every time I play,” he promised.
