England midfielder‘s departure from Old Trafford could be the blessing for MU fans. Because, Cleverley is considered as one of the players who failed were partly responsible for the poor performance of the ‘Red Devils‘.
Since playing in the first team in 2011-12, Cleverley has made 79 appearances in all competitions MU with only five goals packing.
With his contract at Manchester United which will expire at the end of the season, Cleverley was certain that he had undergone his final season in uniform of the Red Devils.
“If any footballer received insults from the fans themselves of course they will be hurt. Football is a game of opinions and you can not please everyone,” said Cleverley was quoted by Sky Sports.
“With a contract that will expire at the end of the season, to be honest I felt I was not going to play for the club again.”
“In modern football, it is very rare that a player like Giggsy (Ryan Giggs) or Scholesy (Paul Scholes), who played for only one club in their career,” said Cleverley.
